Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 25, 2026
The Speed Team operates SPEED and is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Service.
Data we collect and why
- Account data (email, display name, sign-in provider details) — to create and run your account (contract).
- Gameplay data (runs, times, wrong taps, streaks, leaderboard entries) — to provide the game and rankings (contract).
- Device identifier for guest play — to enforce the one-free-run-per-day limit (legitimate interests).
- Technical data (IP address, browser, logs) — for security, fraud prevention, and fixing problems (legitimate interests).
- Purchase status (which passes you hold) — to unlock paid runs (contract).
Who we share data with
- Service providers for hosting, database, authentication, and AI content tools.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling passes, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
Your display name and scores are visible publicly on the leaderboard.
Retention
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it when no longer needed or after you ask us to delete your account, unless law requires longer retention.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within one month.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country; where required we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.
Cookies and storage
We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your guest device. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear storage in your browser settings.
